Welcome to SANTFA
SANTFA is state-wide farming organisation with a strong membership across the farming areas of South Australia, interstate and globally. The Associations aims are to promote the role of no-till systems as an economic and environmentally sustainable farming practice and to help facilitate the sharing of information between farmers on applying successful no-till cropping systems. Being a member of SANTFA offers you a copy of the SANTFA No-Till Journal published quarterly, exclusive invitation to our premier event the SANTFA No-Till Conference held annually in late February in Adelaide, invitation and or member benefit to attend trips and tours plus exclusive use of our member only sections of this website.

SANTFA 2012 Conference
The SANTFA conference is recognised as a long established, valuable event which caters for the needs of growers, advisors and researchers. The conference is one of the largest grower initiated annual conferences in Australia. High participation is a direct result of providing a conferrence structure and content that suits new and existing no-till growers. Topics covered at the conference address issues and innovation that benefit both new and existing no-till farmers.

Soil Moisture Monitoring (SANTFA members only area)
SANTFA is researching the use of new sub-surface soil moisture probes to evaluate soil water holding capacity and infiltration rates in farming systems.

Workshops
SANTFA regularly conducts a range of workshops, these are some examples from last year.
Disc Seeding workshops are being conducted throughout March 2011 with support of the NRM Boards in the Murray Mallee, Riverland, Yorke Peninsula and Lower North.
Soil Moisture Monitoring in Dryland Cropping Situations
SANTFA are runnning Monitoring Soil Moisture Workshops with Greg Butler at Murray Bridge and Swan Reach during June/July 2011.
